Berean Group is seeking a Sr. Oracle UDB DBA
w/ SQL Server
Position Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for activities involved in the analysis, design, development, troubleshooting, debugging and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse systems. Also responsible for formulating and implementing the team's technical vision, providing hands-on insight into system architecture, data software development and data warehouse design. Candidate will establish database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical data model capacity planning, external data interface specs, data loading, data maintenance plan and security policies. Collaborating with data modelers and facilitating interaction between DBAs and data modelers for logical and physical data models. Determine appropriateness of data storage, archive, purge and backup strategies. Database designing, performance, management and tuning experience. Enforce database standards and procedures. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to others on the team.
Skills/Experience:
10+ Years with skill set.
Prior SOX implementation experience is highly desirable. SOX compliance experience has a high priority; they need to be able to look at current processes and determine how to make them better and still be in compliance.
Strong full life-cycle Oracle DBA background, as well as strong infrastructure and system administration experience.
Project management is not required, but someone that has been a lead or manager with technical reporting and presentation experience would be great.
Experience leading large multi-resource teams with interdependent initiatives to successful completion.
AIX 04-06 Yrs.
Oracle DBMS 07-09 Yrs.
System Administration
Experience in Database development field.
Capable of working proficiently at both strategic and tactical aspects of a project.
Ability to code complex programs and derive logical processes.
Commanding knowledge of current industry database standards such as Web Services, Object Oriented Development, Collaborative development techniques as well as knowledge of Project management discipline within Information Technology field.
Capable of communicating in both verbal and written form to the level of published.
